A little something about you: I love to learn. Just when I think I'm done with something, another subject will perk my interest. I would love to get a master's degree in anthropology with an emphasis in women's studies, but my family comes first & it's enough to be serving other families while my family is young & my husband is still in the military. So when I don't channel that curiosity into birth, it eeks out into craftiness. Love working with my mind and my hands.
What you like about YourDoulaBiz: I hemmed & hawed about changing how I organize my practice for a long time. But with frequent moves & life changes it seemed I was always re-establishing my practice & didn't think it was time to make the investment. (excuses, excuses) And then one fateful night during the #doulaparty on Twitter I won a year's subscription. There I was, I had no choice but to make the changes I'd sat on for years. I love love LOVE having everything in one place. It took aa little while to break away from my old system, but now it's an integral part of my business. I'm already renewed for next year.
While not working you can find Gaela: Buried in children, wound up in yarn, paper & fabric, giggling, digging in the dirt, traveling with my man & kiddles when I'm not on call & reaching for a real beer (the kind that comes from Europe & fills a real pint glass).
